Old picture but I thought I could do better so I'm uploading it again with some changes. Taken in cali, this dude had this lizzard and another one and he was showing them around. Taken with my old ugly minolta. Previous photo of 'The Watcher'

This is fantastic, I love your use of the off centre composition, you use that really effectively. And the black and white is great, it really brings out that amazing texture in the scales.
I'm not sure that I like the selective colour thing, but honestly that's a personal choice - it would work nicely for a marketing graphic, but I think as a stand alone photo I would prefer to see it in straight black and white.
